Katie Whittaker is greatly inspired by ancient objects, folklore and the sea. Currently based in Norwich, she has been developing illustrative jewellery since graduating. Her Modern Artefact collection was originally based on the Sympathetic Magic exhibits at the Pitt Rivers Museum but has grown to include inspiration from the Ashmolean, the British Museum and the SCVA.

The Modern Artefact collection focuses on the idea that we take the convenience of modern life for granted. It aims to remind the wearer of the traditions and superstitions associated with the original artefact that helped our ancestors find a balance with the natural world.

Upcoming Shows:

24th November - Norwich Makers Market - The Assembly House, Norwich
